About Nicky

Hello there! My name is Nicky Dawkins and I am a Full Spectrum Reproductive Health Doula based in sunny South Florida. In addition to my Doula work, I'm the proud Founder of PERIOD Miami and serve as Vice President on the Miami Diaper Board. I am also the mother of two very energetic and adorable children. Both of my parents hail from Jamaica and I am 1st generation Jamerican 🙂 I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Florida International University and in Master's Degree in Music Business from Full Sail University.

Before making a major career change, I already had a huge passion for reproductive and maternal health, and always favored a holistic, Ayurvedic approach to healing. My friends would actually refer to me as the "period girl" which turned out to be fitting! I started a reproductive health blog while I was pregnant in 2015, and in 2017, I was awarded Best Health Blogger in South Florida by the Blogger Union. The rest is history!

I now proudly run my practice in Miami Shores, FL and have several programs that surround the wellness of women, covering everything from periods and fertility to birth and postpartum.
